I am associate professor at the Materials Physics department of Eotvos Lorand University (ELTE), Budapest, Hungary. I received my M.Sc. from physics in 1997 and defended my Ph.D. in 2002 also at ELTE.

My major research interest is physics of materials, particularly plasticity related phenomena in amorphous alloys and nanocrystalline materials. My work spans from experimental research, through computer simulation to theoretical calculations. After my graduation, I dealt with mainly plastic instabilities during my Ph.D work, later I participated in various research projects on severe plastic deformation and bulk metallic glasses. Nowadays, I am mainly teaching materials science classes at ELTE and working on projects related to shear band formation in metallic glasses, severe plastic deformation in nanocrystalline materials, structural investigation in amorphous and nanocrystalline biomaterials.
